![]() An example of some of this questionable behavior is some stables banning the use of personal cameras on their trails so that they can sell you 'their' pictures at the end of the trip, or other stables that only provide a 'Valley' trip as part of their 1 hour rides and made you pay the higher costs of a 2-3 hour ride ($90 - $100per person) to get a scenic Mountain view. Having researched many other local / park located stables, I found that too many were more concerned with making quick money from tourists, rather than providing an excellent service that would provide repeat business based on quality. I recently visited the 'End of the Trail' Horseback Riding Stables as part of my trip to the Great Smoky Mountains and while I am not one to usually write trip reviews, felt compelled to write one for this top notch outfit.Īs an experienced rider (with over 10 years experience riding in North, Central and South America) travelling with family with next to no riding experience, it was important to me to pick a stable that kept safety a very high priority, but at the same time provided an authentic riding experience so that everyone on the trip could enjoy themselves.
